Formed in 1964, Lynyrd Skynyrd has been a mainstay in the rock and roll scene for well over half a century. Immortalized by hits like 1974's Sweet Home Alabama and Free Bird, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.
